so...here we are...almost a year old, and we have a blog, a website and great network of photographers from all over the metro vancouver area.

but... we need a logo/wordmark!

so if you or someone else you know is handy in the graphic arts department, please submit something for us to vote on and use to distinguish us, the vancouver photographers and second shooters group!

A bunch of us Twitter-aholics got together for some much needed sushi at Ki Sushi in New Westminster last night. Thanks Sarah of Silver Lamb Studios for organizing the impromptu event and for all those who came out for good eats. There will be more sushi nights in the future!

on wednesday, the bunch of us who were there this week gave Dave, Quin & Levi of DQ STUDIOS an amazing welcome to vancouver! we had a blast...see? ;)

yesterday at java times, dave of DQ studios and i chatted briefly about the new blog.
he gave me an idea that he saw on a blog in portland, OR for photogs:

anyone who has something to blog, be it something you just learned, something you want to pass on, a couple images, something coming up that photogs would be interested in, in fact ANYTHING related to us photogs, you are welcome to blog it.

if you would like to contribute to our blog, i need to add you as a blog author. please contact us and we'll get you set up and you can start sharing!

it's in calgary, yes. but with westjet's really cheap flights right now, it is still a killer deal to go!

saw some chatter on the twitter waves today regarding image explorations 2009, held just north of victoria, bc on vancouver island.

not sure if they are full or not, but take a look at their webpage; they have kevin kubota and scott robert lim coming up. i think i even heard dane sanders was showing up for a day, but don't quote me. :)
